Introducing my 4-legged family

July 16th, 2008 in Quite Contrary | Comments Off

I run a home-based business. But I don’t work alone. My 4-legged helpers are Abraham, a 13-year-old Lab mix and Bob, a 3-year-old grey cat, both rescued from the local animal shelter, but not at the same time.

Bob has a spinal deformity from being a mistreated stray. He swaggers like John Wayne, but it doesn’t hamper his speed in the least.  Bob like to rest on my computer mouse, walk across the keyboard, sit between me and the monitor, take naps on client work, but only when I’ve writing reports. He also likes the back of my new office chair.

Abraham just eats, sleeps, and adores me. He’s also my early warning system. His bark is worse than his bite, but I won’t tell anybody. Letting these two in and out all day keeps me from growing to my computer.
