Spring has sprung on the prairie

April 9th, 2009 in bird watching | Comments Off

While the cardinals, sparrows, and squirrels have entertained me all winter, I now have my flicker, gold, purple and house finches, robins, bluejays, grackles, and starlings as well.

I was out of town for the weekend recently, and the squirrel actually knocked on the door when the feeder was empty! My son who takes care of things when we’re gone, didn’t accomodate him.
